Make your own wind chime!

Ever wonder what to do with those old aluminum cans? Other than recycle them, of course. I was doing the usual Pinterest search for fun things to do with the kids this summer, and came across one that was sure to please them! Make your own wind chime!

First off, pick some vibrant colors to paint them! We chose spray paint, hoping for less mess and clean up. Two coats worked best for us!

Once dry, take your hand held drill and drill a hole in the bottom of the can. My kids, 7 and 5, were able to help with this with supervision.

Take some sort of line or string and run it through the hole in the can, tie a knot in the end on the inside of the can, this is how the can will hang.
Finally, find a branch, or use something with a circular shape, and tie the other end of the string to the branch or other item. Allow the can to hang at various heights, but accommodate so they will still "clang".

Here is our final product!

Hope you enjoy as much as we did!
